Fuel Cap Lock

Mine is buggered as in you use a screwdriver to open it. I just got on ebay a new cap with two keys for 14 quid. Is the locks little pins like the Kawasaki one in the picture? I have changed a few of these in my time to fit a key so wondering if its worth stripping down and attempting this. I already have two keys as last owner put a new door lock set in so dont want a third.
