Was up at Barden last weekend. Woke up to 100's people, police, helicopters, photographers, etc. Tour of Yorkshire coming through.

People go roaring past the FoB on their way to The Lakes. Lovely area. Couple of my favourite pubs for a bite to eat: Sun Inn and the Hark to Bounty.

You ever stopped at Stocks Reservoir Ricko? I have had a quick look but noticed there were no overnighting signs at the big car park.

I haven't actually, although it looks very picturesque, it might be ideal for a sneaky night away.

I scouted out the big car park once, unfortunately the payment meter says no overnight parking. Which is a shame as I'm usually happy to pay a few quid to park in pay and displays if they're decent

I was a bit annoyed whilst driving to Wasdale Head, no overnight parking signs everywhere...
