Motorbike In The Back

Bought a running project bike. Yam Thundercat and book says its 6'7.5" long. You lot who move bikes around will i get it in diagonally?

My Fireblade fits in the scudo so you should be ok. I have a ramp and air suspension so it's easy to get in and out but it takes up a good six inches when the doors are closed. Mine has no wooden partition though so the front tyre goes right up against the front seat and I think the boxing round your rear wheel arches may get in the way a little. I am hoping to get everything in place to be up at East Fortune in August to try it all out.

Think the last time i measured it the angle was 7.5 foot. I lose some on that wooden bulkhead yes but i hope with the bike wheel turned left it will tuck in a bit more but yes, i may end up losing that with the boxed wheel arch. Lots of ratchet straps and may end up having the O/S door tied shut then

Yes, of course with the bulkhead out of the way you will have more space anyway but although it isn't ideal, you can also gain a little more by putting the front wheel behind the drivers seat and sliding the seat forward on its runners. That is why I want a single passenger seat, so it will give me just enough room between the seats in order to put the front wheel in the middle, which ought to solve the problem.

You should be fine up the middle. May batter you elbow off the disks of you are a big lad but doable. This is the kind of space you have as i put a single in my last van.

I am yet to put shelf's in my present van and i might ro do them arches for more space. Looks like 12mm USB board was used and not tight up the arch either as this was my crude attempt last time what is much thinner.

Awwwww, so jealous of those seats and they spin round too. I think I may just have to sneak up across the border tonight and steal them. Where did they come from, a quicksilver? and are they special or do the standard ones spin round?

Go the single on ebay for arong 50 quid i think it was. I was lucky with teh swivel plates as i won them at around 30 for one and i think 50 for the other but they were the dedicated Peugeot ones. Swivel plates tend to be around 100+ a side. I found these what i have in my Convoy

They are cheap as i think they are small but may fit your seats. Again for my Convoy i just got two seats out a Corsa and made bases for them. The swivel plates were still so small but i used strips of steel across the top to make them reach the runners. You will add 3cm to your seat hight with a plate and if like me 6'2" you are almost hitting the van ceiling and for full distance vision i had to take the sun visor out. This is how the corsa ones look

Short Answer ........... YES...........
I've had mine in the back of one of these and it had to go diagon alley and I had to remove the mirrors also
