Hi all

Recently picked up a 56 plate Peugeot Expert and will be converting it to a day/weekend camper over the coming months, plan is to take it to a few festivals over the summer and potentially on a European road trip later in the year.

Full service history, recent MOT. Have had it for a few weeks now and seems to run like a dream (for the age and mileage).

I have next to zero knowledge when it comes to engines and mechanical stuff , so am hoping to learn a bit as I go!

Will be documenting the process, looking forward to sharing it with you all, as well as seeking advice from everyone here on the way!

Thanks guys, have enjoyed reading through and seeing the pictures in the camper conversions sub-forum. Can see I already am running into the same issues/questions that others have which is encouraging.

First step this weekend is see what I can do with getting a better seal on the sliding doors. Seems I have the same issue that many have come across, in that over time the door isn't sitting quite as flush as you'd hope.

I'm less worried about the noise when driving, more about the fact I get quite a bit of a leak when the rain is particularly heavy!

After I've got it water-tight, it's insulation and ply-lining.

Remember that it's not really possible to make it flush with the front door - the people carrier versions of these vans have a little wind deflector on the front doors which help.

Hi from Cornwall nice to see another, I had issues with water sneaking in on my side doors, it was the rubber seal bit at top of frame that was peeling off so just stuck mine back and been fine,

Thanks, indeed have been reading a lot about the 'air-break' that the sliding doors seem to be! Not the best of designs! To be honest we're just keen to make sure the rubber seal is watertight more than anything.

Looks like one of the easiest suggestions is to get some more rubber seal off ebay and stick it on to what's already there? But am open to any other suggestions.
