Easy job? Mine snapped today. Lick 5 min walk from home so choc block fix. New cable arrive tomorrow so is it an easy one man job?

OK. The cable came from eurocarparts at £30 posted
waste of money. Only part i used was the inner wire cable as the engine end comes with a couple of different shaped choc block type ends.
Soooo, if anyone is needing a new cable buy a long push bike brake cable and a brass choc block. Save a few quid, unless you need to change your outer sleeve that is.

While back I got a cable, a firstline brand......IIRC
Turned out that the cable on the 306 was incorrectly fitted/routed,
Garage said should keep it......... It would fit the van as well as every other PSA diesel car/van ETC of that ilk...
Returned it anyway
Had a 101 bits in the bag ....It looked like the Throttle cable version of flat pack furniture with all the extra bits you didn't need ......
So guess you've just answered why

See at the end of the cable in the engine bay. The cable clips onto a white plastic/nylon pulley what is screwed onto the arm to accelerate. Does your white plastic/nylon part pivot as the arms moves? Mine is solid, i manage to move it slightly as it was facing the wring direction causing a bend in the cable.

This is what my cable looks like at throttle actuator .....Yes that bit the cable clip and spring slots into pivots
