Grand cheers. Site free wifi is no good for streaming and she can hardly get it anyway being so far from main office. This seems to be her only option for half decent TV.

I'd say you are paying a bit extra for the portable with battery aspect. I use an unlocked EE 8278 USB dongle, which is easy to unplug and take with us. In a static, it would be easy to unplug and take in the car etc. Search for Huawei USB Unlocked 4g and any should work.
At home I use a Huawei E5186 mains router, which allows me to connect an analog phone to make calls over the mobile network, using my free minutes.
This is a similar thing https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Huawei-4G-Ro … 3898944506

I use my phone as a WiFi hotspot. I use it regularly as I'm an hgv driver who works away. I pay something like £28/mth, sim only, I get I think 500 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited data, including tethering
If in doubt, give it a clout!

I use one of these, the 4G aerials on the outside and WiFi aerial on the inside.

I was going to say same thing Firemoth said along with I have that very MIFI and A couple others (3G's and all PAyG)they work a treat obviously dependant on (4G) signal my only gripe is it can gob data (When streaming)
Which is true of my phone as well.....
As said like Firemoth I've been tending to use phone as hotspot but had and (when I remember) have the MIFI plugged into a usb power source and velcro'd to a wall which gives SWMBO access to FB etc when going along and freeing up mobile.........
(I was impressed on our last couple Spanish trips how it kept her amused {Browsing} on the iPad as we went along)
Only thing other I noticed was I'm sure it was heating up if You did a power of Streaming

Cheers guys i just ordered the Huawei. It has to work from the off as her caravan park is nowhere near help if it started to play up. She has MS what is playing with her brain and even the toaster can be to technical for her. I am getting the task of driving down to the site and setting this up and getting a free meal out of it so i had better make it look a hard job

Vodaphone seam to be the latest to offer unLTD data plus allegedly (we'll see) for £32 PM on sim only 12 month contract my gripe is Mobile Data is such a rip off, its the last Bastion of selling Unlimited whatever (for the very streaming reasons your looking for) and coining it in as most unlimited data seems to mean first 12 GB full speed from then on about 2meg "but we don't cut you off".......
Other wise I'd do away with land line and just have mobile data obviously it'll come some day like how many phone boxes are still dotted about every where
The amount of folk I know that only have a mobile but then got a landline in only for internet........ (I'm sure you do too)
But it always seems to be tied in with phone calls and some such like
Early on I was sent a data card for my 3g mifi and even with £50 credit still on it shut it down because I allegedly was tethering my phone and that was a NoNo (WTF)
(I managed to get that Sim to work in an iPad but ran out of credit frustratingly in the last 15 mins of watching Master and Comander)

This will only get used at weekend when she is at the van so max 10-12 days a month. Think its 26 quid for 30gig of a data sim from vodafone. This is a rolling contract that she can cancel at any time with n charge so a will be trying my 3 card when down and if i get 4G then look at priced from them also but i think the 30gig will be plenty for her needs.

Keep an eye out for the EE deal that comes up every so often - mine's 32GB for ~£16/mo rolling contract

£32 per month is really expensive. For instance at https://www.mobiles.co.uk/vodafone-sim-only-deals you get unlimited data/calls/texts for £23 per month - plus you can get cashback by submitting 5 bills online, that brings the cost down to £14 month. Speeds are capped at 2MB/s but that's fast enough for streaming.
We use something similar at home, which means we don't need a landline costing £20 month before you even make a call.

I Stand too be corrected that 2meg is Fast enough to stream movies .............. God knows what I must be receiving from 3 Mobile when I buy a 12GB data package from them and usually I end up with some Buffering
It's Good too see that you can get Cashback...........
My only defence is that I picked out Unlimited Plus at £32 as I thought that's what's needed instead of the Unlimited lite at £23 that Obviously works as you pointed out.............

I'd read the speed as 2 megabytes a second but it's actually 2 megabits a second 2Mb/s. At 900MB an hour this should be fast enough for standard def.

Got this little big and friends sim here just now as setting up the security ans installing in her caravan tomorrow. Playing around with it the 4G network seems faster than my plusnet ASDL fibre what got me thinking. I can get all you can eat data sim from three for £10 for the first six month then £20 there after for the next 18 month. I dont stream but download. I presume there is no restriction on torrents like most ISP's are doing. I get round that with a VPN so would VPN and downloading still be as efficient if i got one for my house? i would save £17 a month and have a faster internet. We never phone much anyway so dont need a line and get X amount of free minutes with each top up on the mobiles.
