Hi guys, my stereo does not play cds , it shows one has been put in as it says T01 like it's about to play but then just ejects, I never checked when I got the van as never bothered me, but heading to Haynes motor museum this Sunday and wanted blast some tunes. I tried another stereo and it did the same, I'm wondering if maybe wires are missing from the rear, something maybe not connected but I don't know, any ideas thanks.

Luck. Or lack of it that you had two with the same problem or................................ Duff CD, does your steering controls have an eject button. Its needing a clean however, who uses CD's nowadays SD, USB or Bluetooth
ABBA has never sounded so good

Yes probably bad luck, I've tried cd cleaner so I guess it's radio or my bad singing, thanks

We had this exact fault on our Scudo's factory fit CD player, so we replaced it with a Sony CD player that has Bluetooth, USB port etc....
But to be honest, I use the CD player more than anything else!!
The CD & radio works perfectly on this Sony head unit, so it might be worth trying a different CD player if you can lay your hands on one.
We got ours off eBay, ex display for only £25!! Was a total bargain so worth a look.

We (have) had exactly the same Clarion.... what's it Radio CD player in van an 306 ..... (Pug.... Citroen Etc) but the CD player wouldn't work in the 306 for her...............
So on "A" particular visit to her Daughters ........ The boy friend there decided to swap out the Radio CD player for what I'm concerned is a piece of Sh** ......
But it plays her CD's........
Fast forward a couple months I'm getting grief how the CD player in the van must be F..... As the CD's play fine in the 306......... Not a peep in van
Obviously I investigated ..........
She's been using Mp3 discs and they don't work in the factory CD player it seems
So it appears they binned a perfectly working player............ Not best pleased but I have a spare one

Thanks I'll check other options,

My Scudo has the original CD player, and it very rarely plays CDs. Only occasionally will it play one or two tracks on one before giving up.
Hardly surprising when they stuck a Fiat badge on the player.

Mine isn't an original but when it started skipping disks I started using one of those small mp3 players into it's external input jack. A good option if you have the input socket. Could just use your phone instead of course.
19gig of music taking less space than a single CD. Can also play vidio on it's 1 1/4" screen but I dont bother with that. I plug my tablet into the CD player aux when watching vidio.
Wish it had direct memory card slots though.

Mine's the original too with the 'kiss of death' Fiat badge on it. Has exactly the same faults as yours. Some times won't play at all, then you might get a track or two before it stops. Been like this for years. It's radio or singing for me too until I can be bothered to put something better in.
At least the Fiat badge on the radio is the best anti-theft deterrent there is.
