Intermittent wipers ?

My wipers do not wipe intermittenty, nor do they do the full cycle when the stork is pulled. If i take my finger off the stork they stop halfway down the screen... is this normal ?

Re: Intermittent wipers ?

If I remember rightly my old 53 plate expert had the same issue, and I ended up changing the stalk. Not a big job and not too expensive either.

Re: Intermittent wipers ?

I had an issue with my indicators on van about 4 or 5 years ago ................

Turnd out to be the stalk had grease get on contacts through use......
I read this link ........... http://philsworkbench.blogspot.com/2009 … epair.html .........................

Had a bash at repair..............
Wiper stalk may be of same ilk but if you can source a good working equivalent it may be the easiest way to go.........

Or in my case on pug 306 it was replacement wiper motor ...............

Hi, I had the same problem, please see my post in the maintenance section to see if this is the same problem. I changed the control relay.

Hopefully I have solved it, pulled the stork forwards and after 3 wipes they now work to their full  intermittent cycle and without having to hold the stork until it returns to the home position.

Re: Intermittent wipers ?

Good to hear the wipers are working again, if the problem comes back (I too had this and every now and then everything worked fine) until it finally failed. If it is the relay, it's blue and behind the glavebox to the bottom right.
