Butterfly valve?

Morning all. Can anyone tell me where the 'butterfly valve' in the air intake system is located on a Dispatch?

I'm replacing my MAF sensor but have heard that this valve can also cause problems if it gets stuck. Just want to check it to cure my acceleration flat spot.

Thanks

Re: Butterfly valve?

They were probably telling you about the EGR valve as that is a butterfly You can blank it off. If you search this site for EGR there is a post on how to do it with pulling a couple of vacuum pipes or see below picture. In the circle is the EGR. The silver pipe coming in from the left is the intake what you want to block off. Then again you can clean the valve and see if that is an improvement.
