Hi everybody,
I've been reading the forum for a couple of weeks now but haven't put finger to keyboard until today.
I've recently bought a 1999 1.9D Expert accessable taxi with a manual tail ramp, raked floor and winch system.
I'm in the process of converting the van into a camper ready for next season and was wondering if anybody has any experience working on this particular configuration and had any tips or tricks for fitting everything in?

Never converted a van with a ramp myself and my curent van was factory done. So no practical advice from me at this stage. Looking forward to following your progress though.

So when the ramp is down are they draught proofed? It would be handy having the floor down for the extra height. I jumped out my van into the awning to get changed for bed but you kept losing heat doing this.

At the moment, I'm still not sure what I'm going to have to do to the ramp. It's going to have to stay as my poor arthritic staffie will make use of it, but the barn doors need the tailgate to be up in order to close securely so the ramp will have to be inside at night, this then leaves a gap between the hinges and the main body of the floor. I may just keep it as ventilation and stick a wooden wedge in it through the winter to keep out the cold. We'll see... big_smile
