Expert 2011 locking issue

I hope someone can shed some light on this..
Last December my rear split door lock started failing. It wouldn't unlock from the remote - both sliders are operating fine. I could use the key manually to unlock until my mechanic fitted a new latch, both thinking it would solve the problem. However, the doors are somehow worse now. I can't unlock them unless I start the engine, lock and then unlock the rear cargo doors using the button on the dashboard.
The door is "deadlocked" from both sides - unable to use handle inside as well as outside still being locked tight! My guy has plugged in diagnostic laptop and error comes back something like 'no communication between back/doors and alarm' alarm is a Gemini aftermarket.
We believe that it may be down to a module failure or relay if one exists.
Peugeot main dealer want £££'s for a diagnosis with no promised outcome.
Has anyone ever come across this?? Can anyone give any advice?

I think it's apparent in this helpful comunity .........
That nobody has come across this fault in your generation of van with an aftermarket alarm ..........
Which BTW  sounds very much like where your issue lies .............

Must admit though that I often miss posts in the newer vehicles section.  It's often quiet down there and I know little about them antway.

I had a similar issue with my Fiat Scudo 2009. However mine was a little different,
my rear door would not lock with the key button, it would only lock with the key manually, but it would lock when I drove at more than 10kph (when the auto rear door locking system would lock it)

The way I somehow solved the issue was by pulling out all the side door locking fuses (in the battery compartment near the positive terminal)
I then pressed the lock button on the remote and the rear door would lock but would not unlock. I then put the fuses back in and all locking seems to now operate correctly. Maybe just needed a reset or possibly the fuses were not connecting properly.

Sorry I can't tell you the real reason behind my issue but hopefully my method of fixing the problem migh help.

I will have a look at that and report back. It seems strange that it won't operate at all, unless I run (or have run) the engine, then it will unlock with the dash buttons but not the remote!
