Hello,
I wonder if anyone can help please. My 07 Scudo 140 multijet van had a loss of power issue. The garage have said the engine is missing a part where two pipes are just dangling (see pictures)but without this missing part they cant continue to investigate the problem.Any idea what is missing

Those look awfully like {to me} Vacum Solinoidy type pipes that control Turbo wastegate or variable vanes on Turbo...or EGR even etc....
You'd get a much better idea if you traced pipes to what's attached at othe end and then referenced it with the likes of "Citroen Service Box".........
Could be they've just become detached from whatever...........

I find it hard to believe that any mechanic would admit, not only to such ignorance, or at least to such a lack of interest or intent to enquire further. Did they not even hint at what sort of componant might be missing? If they had any knowlage of this engine at all they would surely know.
Sorry I know that doesn't help you.
The legnth and any set in the routing may give some indication of their original location. As vaz suggests, tracing back to the other end might offer a clue and if you know where it attatches, a manual or parts list should identify it.
Does it run otherwise ok except for power loss? I have looked at a few images of this engine on google but not found one clear enough to help.
Looks nice and clean though.

I was thinking those dangling pipes might be another issue and have nothing to do with this power loss issue..........
I'm fairly sure if your van has the 140bhp motor....... it'll have a variable vane turbo just like my ill fated 307 did and the issue of power {restrictions} loss I experienced.................
{When it ran to all intents and purposes was just dandy apart from poor fuel consumption and short of power}
It was determined after noting a shortage of boost........
The internal turbo vanes had become sooted up or rusty and had become stuck or restricted in their movement..........
I was informed after {a replacement bought} the fact that a possible remedy.......
Was to remove exhaust pipe at turbo and fill exhaust side of turbo with oven cleaner and leave for a good few hours.........
Then evacuate it and reassemble .... hopefully then Bob's your Aunty............
It's Vw but you'll get the idea.........

Variable vane turbos do require regular use or they get glued up and stuck, the common fix is to fill the turbo on the exaust side with Foaming Oven Cleaner (the caustic type that strips off skin) leave it for a few hours then run for a bit and all the goo glueing up the vanes will be gone) or you can just buy a turbo of course.
I used to do my Alfa GT JTD quite often if not used for a bit, I found I could squirt the oven cleaner down a disconnected EGR pipe, (its good for EGR cleaning too)
These do look like disconnected vacumn pipes though, I would bung the ends if they are open and not connected to what ever device is missing they will cause running issues.
