Check/Top Up Gearbox Oil

Does anyone know how to check and top up the gearbox oil on a 2.0JTD? Not sure where the plug is. Is it a DIY job that can be done without car lift?

Thanks all.

Not sure about the Fiat Scudo but on the Dispatch 2.0 HDI you can't check the level as there is no level plug.  All you can do is drain it and then refill with the correct amount through the reversing light switch location.

I'm led to believe So could just as easily be wrong........

The Level plug is.......
On the side of Gearbox behind passengers front wheel {NSF}..........
It looks like one of the bolts that holds end cover on but a larger head..........

Although to be fair I asked for mine to be checked and changed with some molyslip added and they drained it out bung on bottom of diff and filled through breather on top of box........

Or could it be this box...... above is for DW8 basicly

My Pug Partner is like that, just a shame my Dispatch doesn't have the same.

Re: Check/Top Up Gearbox Oil

Thanks for all of your replies. Will have a look and see what I can find. If it's through the reversing light, it would be difficult to get the correct level with jacks or ramps. Will leave it until the van goes into garage - has to go in for one or two things soon. If a plug on the side, I may be in with a chance.
