Paint Colour?

Hello folks!
Well I’m new to this forum having recently purchased an Expert 1.9D from 2006. I think it’s a great van and a really friendly forum you have here! Anyway today (rather stupidly) I scratched the roof of my van on a lower than usual car park barrier. Ok it’s not visible but annoying nonetheless. I don’t seem to be able to find a paint code sticker. It’s a grey ex-WAV so maybe code is somewhere other than usual. Just wondered if anyone here has any ideas. Anyway happy new year to you all!

Assuming it's factory painted colour and by the sounds you've had a look but just incase the paint code is on the ........... in our case the offside/Drivers door

In my case in the bottom section/box my paint code is KJF.........
It could just as easily be 4 letters there for the code...........
(That sticker should be in one of the door jams if not drivers)

As an educated guess based on your description.... I'm going for a code something like "ETH"
But I've really no idea

Re: Paint Colour?

Okay many thanks. I’ll have another good search and if not some paint near enough will have to do. It’s on the roof after all!

Re: Paint Colour?

I take it the paint code and information sticker is not there............
From your Avatar it looks like factory colour and I can't see why convertors would change it unless client requested so...............
There is the chance being 14 yrs old it's had paint work in that area done or door replaced.......
Try a cap in hand approach to the peugeot dealer parts dept (I've done it all be it with a VW dealers and not for paint) and see if they can or are willing to identify it (Touch up colour code)

Re: Paint Colour?

Surprised to hear of a height barrier catching you.
Must admit, I might have become over confident with mine.

Re: Paint Colour?

The barrier did look low. I actually drove in quite carefully, no problem. On the way out (same barrier) it just caught! Was in a water authority car park so no tarmac and an ever so slight slope, was most surprised! Like you it’s easy to get quite blasé about these things!

Re: Paint Colour?

my disspatch came with a heavy roof rack, i threw it away immediately,  it seemed to be held on by one zip tie!

i wouldn't worry about a scratch, these vans are like tanks, they need a bit of battle damage to look good.
just put some vaseline on it and be done with it.
