2016 Dispatch Regenerative Breaking

I am desperately trying to find out if the newer model Citroen Dispatch has a regenerative breaking system. I have a 2018 model and have fitted a split charge relay to charge my leisure battery but I've found out if it has regenerative breaking it will likely cause damage to the leisure battery. Before I invest in an expensive battery to battery charger that may not be required I am trying to find out if PSA used regen to achieve Euro 6 compliance or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 2016 Dispatch Regenerative Breaking

My 2015 does, but the easiest way to check is to use a plug in cigarette lighter voltmeter. Typically volage will be 12.7 and will increase up to 14.7 when you lift off the accellerator. This of couse means that most of the time the voltage sensing split charge relay does not kick in.

Rather than buy a battery to battery charger I used a relay connected to the ignition via a timer - set to about 20 seconds. This gives enough time to start the engine before joining the batteries together. I came to the conclusion that the slightly higher charge volages would be ok with a std lead acid battery.

Re: 2016 Dispatch Regenerative Breaking

Thank you tee_cee. I've just ordered a cigarette lighter voltage meter, see how I get on.
