So how does this work

It's a good few days ago .....
Could easily have been last Friday....
Was out in car for an errand .........
I'm wishing to Turn right but there's a Mk1 of these Vans Approching .............
Just a white Mk1 Van one of the 3 makes I don't know It's a Prefacelift ............

My First thought "That looks Fairly Fresh for it's age"................
Bearing in mind  assumptions on what I've made..............
"Prefacelift ...Age.... Working Van .... White .... ETC.............

While I'm waiting for it to pass I said to my Passenger "That old Van looks tidy from here" .........

I check Reg plate out on Way Past To see What Year..............
It's  an "07" ............ (Sad probably I know)
What? ... I said "Did you see what age that was?".....

As I thought in my Dotage... I'd miss read it....
My reply was "07....it's younger than yours" ...

How does that work out?

Re: So how does this work

Interesting!

Think I'm right in saying the facelift models stopped production in Dec 2006 but could obviously have been first registered in 2007 [don't think I've see one mind] - but how a pre-facelift could pop up as an 07 I'm not sure.

Theories:

- Amateur crim makes fake plates for a job
- Facelift owner prefers pre-facelift look and swaps grill etc

Do you know what you saw that made you ID it as pre-facelift?

I'm leaning towards Caspers thoughts been in bump and had a sore face and someone stuck second hand  (White) Front panels on it............

Was it a MK1 that had been kicking about unsold ............
Registered and sold off with big discount as new old model.........

Tiree keep an eye out unless the jobs been done and fake plates removed ... big_smile ........
I was on the A711 waiting to turn for Lochfoot way when it approached from Dalbeattie/CD direction..........
