Here's a pic of my Expert parked up in beautiful Glentrool before the split pipe cut short my wild camping trip.

It's actualy surprising what nooks and crannies D&G has to offer I used to frequent around that area and away down to the Isle of Whithorn when just a boy and living then in South Ayrshire ........
Then in my mid late 20's upwards...... (like most boys got deeper invovled with Females) I moved to and ended up In D&G and for the next 30 odd yrs frequented all around area from Newton to Ae forest, Twiglees - Castle O'er with Stage rallying.........
But in all honesty I've taken what's on my doorstep for granted and tended like lots of folk to pass through on the way to some where else ............
That's not to say that some where is better or worse..........
For Me ......I adore going all the way up the west coast, But really only after Dumbarton does it feel trip like.........
Probably passing all my growing up stamping ground and the fact I was Born in Dunbartonshire..........

I love D&G Vaz, particularly Glentrool & The Galloway National Park. It's approx. 290 miles from me down here in Lincolnshire so doable in a weekend if I drive through the night on a Friday. I always plan to head further up but I need to do that over more than a weekend. Managed to visit Newton Stewart, Girvan & Stranraer on Saturday after getting to Glentrool at 4.00am and getting about 3 hours sleep. I was planning on going to Loch Awe but I decided it was too far for the Weekend and it's just as well I didn't what with breaking down. Managed to get to County Durham before packing up
Hopefully I will be back on the road soon and can plan another trip to your beautiful part of the World. Hopefully before the Midge season!
