Northumberland, a celebratory trip

A 3 night out trip to celebrate passing our MOT.
Day 1
After a quick check of the oil and water I headed up the M6 and cut across towards Kielder Water, at the far end of the lake there is a Forest Drive (£3 toll) across the moors. Love that sort of thing.
Spent the night in a layby near Otterburn.
Note: In the National Park there are lots of 'No overnight parking' signs.

Day 2
Rainy Day
Drove around the lanes nearby then headed towards Morpeth to get a few items of food, then headed up towards Alnwick. Checked out the route to climb The Cheviot near Wooler before spending the night at the Catspaw layby.

Day 3
Early start and climbed The Cheviot before heading over the border at Coldstream and following the Kelso, Jedburgh, Hawick route, diverting off towards Newcastleton. Spending the night near Longtown.

Day 4
Headed south towards home on the M6

Van performed well. Need to attend to the oil leak and a few other minor jobs before another trip.

Re: Northumberland, a celebratory trip

Should have stopped  by for a brew.  I am at St Mary's Loch.  You must have passed close by on your way to Longtown.
