Radio/ Aerial problem

First of 2 electrical problems to solve:

Cannot get any radio reception, have checked at back of head unit and connection there is good, then checked above headliner and that seems good as well.

Anybody got suggestions??

I had this problem. Just bought a new aerial from Halfords and put it in the roof rather than mess around.

I'm inclined to agree with 16vdady .............but was it poor and or crackly prior to nothing ......... a sudden loss otherwise could suggest radio end
