I presume it is anyway. Came across these at the scrap yard to stuck them in my pocket
On the door inner where you screw the handle into you will see another two screw holes
That is where the hook goes like this
And it slits behind this
I am presuming its to stop drunk taxi punters falling through the door so it should also prevent people opening with a crowbar.

and why do you want to stop drunk people? i dont understand, that device is already on dispatch doors no?
I have only seen this on the taxi door. They are not present on my van. Without them the door would prize open quite easily. For the sake of two screws i may as well have the added security.

I'd say Casper is not far off the mark and No not all Dispatch, Experts or Scudo's get this hook.
On a Taxi/MPV versions the doors are getting opened from the inside regularly and with "The drunk taxi punter" is probably going to push the door rather than slide, not handy if not fully stopped !! (extreme view?)
Where as a van is less likely to be so frequent from inside...... How ever I'd also say it's an anti burst feature to stop bodies from falling out when side swiped ETC..........
And maybe a throw back to the 806, Ulysse and synergy there based on, hence all fitments still awaiting hook.
So from the point of view of thwarting crowbar/jemmying the doors,..... It's sound, As the more leverage that's put in the more it'll hook up
