Injector codes

Hi all, can anyone tell me definitively if when changing injectors on 2004my fiat scudos 2.0 jtd 8v (Bosch injectors)  it is necessary to change injector codes?

I realise fuelling will be off if the codes are not changed, but will I get a MIL lamp / limp home mode ?

Is the system on that age of van clever enough to have Check sum checks to know??

Don't think this is answering exactly...........
But when I had the 110 HDI {HDI same as JTD in FIAT Van} in the 307 and had a injector failure............

I was told my options were..............
Find another injector with same part number obviously.......(Bosch injectors)......
But it was the Suffix code at the end that was important that they all matched...........

Or fit 4 new matching injectors and code them all to ECU.......

Needless to Say I was Lucky to find a working used injector all be it a noisey one, My issue was then removal without breaking or jamming old one in head......
It was one of the better outcomes I had with that car........
It was a low mileage 2003 car and I changed it for a DW8  306 {Far superior car} which I still have over 11 years later and about 130,000 miles more on it than when bought at over 200,000 and 20 yrs old.........and although not front line anymore...."Still very capable".................
Even in 2014 at 170,000Mls still taking us Down to Northern Spain 3 times in 12 months

A long way for a shortcut I know ...........
Hope some of what's there is of some use ...........
