Hi can anyone tell me how hard is it to change the INDICATOR stalk on an 05 dispatch any help would be appreciated thanks

Cant remember if it was my old Expert or 306 i did it with but it was off with cowling behind wheel then sterring wheel to allow for access to stalk fixing screws. Not a hard job just a pain as some screw at back of steering wheel. Carful if you have the airbag.

Dont think so. Im sure its just two torque screws at the back of the wheel then the air back pops out as a unit. You are meant to disconnect the battery first for a few hours to defuse the bag. I never. Anyway once that is off you can see the nut for the wheel. Do this when the van is straight but loosen the nut to the top of the thread (Dont take nut off) And yank wheel off. You are leaving the nut on to save a broken nose
Once off you have access to stalks.

Next question when I put side lights on nothing happens then if I put headlight s on and fidle with the stalk All the lights come on is it the stalk that's the problem
Also thanks for your help

Be honest its hard to tell when working blind. Could be just a loose earth or dirt in the stalk. Dirt was my issue as it was a plumbers van what had lots of plasterboard and cement dust all over the dash.

yeah i had a faulty indicator switch on my 2005 dispatch. however since i have changed all the bulbs to LEDs its never acted up!
i'd spray some switch cleaner in it for now and see if that fixes it!

Notice: I have the tendency to void warranties, blow fuses, cause fires, and other fun stuff.
Words of wisdom: Internally rust proof the sills and subframe! both skins!!. There's always user serviceable parts inside. "Oh that shouldn't have happened".

On a 2005 van you don't need to remove streering wheel but loosen Wheel adjuster helps........
Take off shroud covers top and bottom...... you'll need torx bits or screw drivers to remove screws {I did}.........
And IIRC unclip wiring from stalk and Bobs your Auntie ...........
It's really not hard mine was full of sh** and making weird lights flash or not when meant ............
I took stalk to bits and missed out a spring on rebuild so now a bit soft feeling on flash function .............

If you change stalk make sure compatible part number and check fittment.........
I eventually got one it fitted great all worked but not rear fog light ...........
