Builders van to fishing camper

Hi all, new member and first ever Expert i have owned.
Story so far is that i purchased this van from a local builder for £600 due to the dreaded sills rotting and various other issues which meant it failed its MOT.
First thing was to weld the sills up, fix the water leak (perished pipe) change the rear shocks and put it through the MOT which it passed, then on to the dreaded removal of 18 years worth of builders crap.

Once the inside was clean the ply lining kit was ordered, carpeted and fitted which made it a lot smarter instantly.

Next was to make a bed with simple wooden frame and slats with access from sliding door and above to store my fishing bags and the leisure battery which will run off a split smart charge system, powering a USB point, 12v cigarette point and a light (maybe an inverter and tv in future).

Moving on into the cab it was given a much needed clean and new carpets were fitted along with a pioneer stereo, phone mount and leather steering wheel cover, not much but made a huge difference in the appearance.
New electric heated mirrors were fitted to enhance the look from the cab, even the air con works!!!!!!!
Finally new alloys were picked up and fitted (KTM Orange from FB seller) not my choice of colour but the condition was to good to change, then last but not least a pin stripe was added to give it an extra 20bhp!

New battery to get for the 12v system, mattress to be ordered from GB Foam and a few small items and that will be that.
If i have bored you to death then I'm sorry, if not then i hope you enjoyed it....Thanks Mark.

Re: Builders van to fishing camper

Them wheels are so ugly they are cool. The Orange kind of works with the white  tongue  If your inverter is to run a TV why not just get the 12v TV. They come up in Aldi now and then for around 100 quid. I got the 22" one for about 115. Sound is a tad crap but im using mine in a larger van so bought a 12v soundbar what is great as it also has bluetooth so no need for 2nd ICE.
Anyway, welcome to the forum. Bit quiet at times but very helpful indeed.
