update, got a removable tow bar in the end. Problem solved!
Also, FYI for anyone wanting to fit one, my sensors work fine with the removable towbar fitted in place!

evening all, does anyone know if the 3rd row seats in the dispatch / scudo / Expert are interchangeable with the 2nd row seats? Ie, they fit in the same original mounts?
I've a combi with 6 seats, but the rear (2nd row) doesn't fold flat. Almost every listing i see is for a 3rd row (from the 9 seaters) that seem to fold flat so was wondering if they would be a straight fit in my existing mounts.

Knock noise underneath could be the exhaust. On my old one, the rubbers hanger perished and was only held on by 1 of the others and caused a knocking noise so check that out.

Cheers all, the bumper has 2 of the sensors so not as high up as yours kenbw2 - perhaps i should just tape a cardboard box or something where the towbar would be fitted and see if that gets picked up.

After 200 or so miles my 2.0 Expert is getting 44-45 mpg. (although that is mainly motorway driving).

Morning all,
Looking to have a towbar fitted to my 2013 Expert. It is recommended that a detachable one is fitted if reverse sensors are present. However we also want to use a bar mounted bike rack which can only be used with a fixed towball.
Have any of you done / have this and will the sensors pick up the towball with nothing attached?
The van has the facility to switch them off when we will be towing but would like to use them when not. Do anyone have experience with this? Any help / insight appreciated.

All sorted now, called in at Formula 1 Autocentre as i drove past and they managed to take the old one out - said it must have been a replacement cap as another key fit it - but not mine! Never mind, all sorted and no charge from the garage too.

Hi all,
Just picked up my new van - a 2.0hdi 13 plate Expert former police van.
Anyhow, I've gone to fill it up and can't get the petrol cap off. The key fits in the hole but doesn't rotate.
Is there anything I can do to get the cap off? I've seen videos where people say to drill & I've thought about trying a screwdriver with force...

Full set of thermal blinds for a Citroen Dispatch / Fiat Scudo / Peugeot Expert (c. 1996 to 2006 models).
Set includes 5 x blinds to cover windscreen, driver and passenger windows and the 2 x smaller windows at the front.
Fix to the glass using suckers.

The speedo on mine worked intermittantly like you have described, then more recently it stopped working all together.
I changed the speed sensor but that didnt sort the issue (so not thinking its that).
When i had the van in the garage a few weeks ago, i was told theres another sensor (located in the gearbox) that is likely the cause. I was told these are plastic and its likely the brushes have become so worn its no longer working. Aparrantly its a £10 part to replace, its just getting to the thing that may be an issue!
As it is, i've got my sat nav permanantly in the Van and use that for the speed. It had its MOT recently (with the speedo not working) and it passed - so either they didnt notice or there no set fail for this!

Hi all, a bit of an update.
A friend helped me check the connections to the motor - all working and it was drawing current from the battery (voltage changed as i moved the blower speed etc).
We then decided to take the motor out of its housing, and inspect it - it was a but dusty but moved freely. We cleaned it up with a bit of WD40, cleaned the connection and tried connecting it back up - and it worked!
Popped it back in and (with a bit of the smell of WD40 in the cab) works perfectly now. It seems like there was a loose connection somewhere!

I thought about adding the extra seats in the back but work commitments and the new baby means time is tight and when i do have free time i'd rather not be spending it sorting out the van.
Next project - who knows. I'd be looking at a crew cab / combi van type thing i reckon with 4/5 seats already in place. Then depending on the van / layout i'd see how i can adapt it for my needs (primarly for ferrying bikes around). I dont need a camper now as have a T25 but to run that as a daily driver which mine is would likely kill that as its a 30 year old van.

Hi all, i hope the collective can help me out with a little issue i'm having.
Earlier in the year, the blowers stopped working - that is there is no air flow coming from the vents when i move the slider.
While moving, i can feel a slight bit of air movement (and i get heat when i put the heater on) so i'm guessing thats ok - its just the blowers that have gone awol.
Does anyone know what the cause may be and any tests i can do to diagnose? Fuse / resistor / something else?

Can't fault them at all, I found raf / mod sticker to fit the centre cap and they're also still there.
A good investment in my opinion.

It'll need a few more hinges as the ply is a bit wobbly at each end. The plan is to have another piece that will 'roll' up on top of this. The base is solid as a rock though I added plenty of support, if anything, overkill but I thought it would be better for the longevity of it. It's anchored into the pillar and that metal box thing by the wheel arch. also into the floor at a few points.

Just had a thought about stringing a hammock in the back of the van. Has anyone done it and if so how and what did you secure your hammock too?
I was thinking if there was a way of diagonally attaching in the van towards the cab it could work...

Afternoon all.
For those of you who fitted Rock and roll beds - did you get / make one with seatbelts?
I'm thinking of re-jigging the interior of mine to include Rock and Roll beds however if I did that i'd like the option to use these as extra passenger seats (hence the need for belts) - then the possibility of fitting Swivel seats in the cab could become a reality (I need 3 seats as a minimum so the van works but with the R&R bed offering 2 x extra places I could lose the bench up front and fit the captains chairs).
So I guess i'm asking, for those who have gone down this route - who did you use and would you recommend them? Were they crash tested ones etc and how much would I be looking at? What dimensions did you make them to etc.....
