Hello again,
Long time coming, but only today managed to get to the right garage (with moving front plates) to see what was making awful clanking noise, that wasn't spotted at the time of MOT
you can certainly have a laugh at my video skills here

thus is stemming from @JohnDragonMan post

I dont know if anyone is aware but FiatForum.com host a parts search with exploded diagrams called ePER.
though its only for Fiat, you can take the part number and search for it on ebay, then Ebay will give you other part numbers of the same item that you can then search.>>Here is a link to this wonderful parts catalogue<<
i hope that this helps a great many keep our beloved vehicles on the roads for many years to come.
It bleepin does! Thank you!

what are your thoughts on it?yes i would say its part 8. it should be pretty easy to get.. i got mine from ebay, not the most easy things to replace. i advise also replacing the rear brake flex hoses at the same time. they will be as old as the van and they will be tugged on a little when you do the bushes.
best eay to do the bushes is to use a drill and drill through the rubber, then use a hacksaw thredded through the hole so you can cut away at the outer "race" or skin of the bush. when you have made a nice sized cut in it, a hammer and chisel should get the bush out.putting the new one in.. use a very large socket abd hefty flat washer with a bolt and "wind" it back in so its true.
experience is a wonderful thing. it enables you to recognise a mistake milliseconds before you make it again.
Started to look for the bushes (bushings) and everything talked about earlier got me slightly lost as it to what it really is, as amount of a play sideways was gianormous...
https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/q-drive- … -610540060
Q-Drive Axle Mounting (Rear or Rear Axle Left or Right) , but the part number, that I'm slightly concerned to be using of a Fiat brother fitment one like
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234645628468 or pair https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224892528880
as evil'Bay say
This item doesn't fit this Citroën Dispatch 2004 Diesel Van 1.9 D 70 FWD -- BS_,BT_,BY_,BZ_ 1868cc 51KW 69HP WJY (DW8B);WJZ (DW8).
Even the image corresponds to the same part on different diagrams
So, at the end of a day I don't want to get it, take it to the garage to learn it's either wrong size or there would be something else.
It looks like you're missing the second sticker on the unit (where the blank white rectangle is). This is where the serial code is locate.
Ooh lala
Going to get back to the rest of your post tomorrow (sober and on PC)
Thanks and cheers for now !
Sounds like linkage is either lose or jamming somehow somewhere
...(short of the actual gear box being kaput)
Hi all,
I've been documenting the maintenance/general up keep i've been doing on my van, to mainly help me remember how i've done things for next time.
If any of it’s of use to you guys, even better.
I am no professional mechanic by a long way, and the van I am working on in these posts is a 2000 Reg Fiat Scudo 2.0 JTD. If you believe I can do anything different/better next time please let me know
I'll be adding new posts, when I undertake more work to the van in the future!https://thefixinglibrary.blogspot.com/
Thanks,
MRE
Wow, brilliant work, thank you! especially https://thefixinglibrary.blogspot.com/2 … r-fan.html as it's ever so relevant to very many of us lately :clink:
I hope this helps many people.

what are your thoughts on it?
hi all im dave a newbie need a little help please i have a 2000 dispatch panel van and the wires for the stereo have been CHOPPED so no blocks does any one no what wires are what please and if the colours in all van are the same cheers for any help
I'm having bit of similar issues with mine ("new") the Clarion old type radio to connect properly too.
https://dispatchexpertscudo.org.uk/foru … hp?id=1661
In short new radio doesn't have the connector what was fitted on my original LUXIOURY van model, to have radio controls on the steering wheel.
However, I've got Parrot Bluetooth "in-between" harness for it that works as plug both ends something at the end to look like
https://dispatchexpertscudo.org.uk/foru … hp?id=1661

That I would presume, would be of the same or at least similar coulours to understand which is which and in doing so be a half ready product to be connecting in to radio perhaps?
Well, almost a year later than my last response, still got the dispatch, still off road but still starts/stopas goes, plan is to maybe get it on the road in October, still need to do the panhard though, tiny bit if plating on one sill and try get some cheap tyres for the front - The Joys! - Hope you all been well?!
Sounds (literally) like mine completely gone too, used to get little knocking noise, now whenever turning right at slow speed some serious noise is coming from RHS rear, that I've kept putting as perhaps spare or even RHS door mount clanking about... obviously was wrong and even having had it checked by mechanic to say- all well, since also getting an MOT (nothing visible must've not been found) it's getting seriously loud now.
Doesn't look like , whatever it is easily found/part number was found, but I need one too then
Norway man wrote:I'm reading this thread with great interest, as I have a blower issue as well. Will the fan be totally dead if the resistor fails? On many cars the blower will still run on full speed when the resistor fails, but not on the lower settings.
I forgot all about this post, sorry mate, getting old! lol - It turned out the alternator had blown, while it had not killed any fuses/relays it possibly caused a surge on the heating circuit, after changing alternator for a 2.0 higher ampage one I still had no fans, I ended up stripping the slider/heat etc selector down and cleaning all the contacts, put back together and still no fan, started poking about in the fuse box with the relays on passenger side, found many of the contacts on the relays had corrosion, cleaned all those, fuses all OK.. put ignition on and fan has worked since lol! bloody thing.
-Stu
Whoo-ho!
Another thing to look at then
was having a nightmare, due to ownself having hands, but both are left, so kept going to all sorts of mechanics changing things with no joy.. (just back off of a phone to another one, who doesn't want to deal with it TBH), that's after a visit to a ST'ealer, who mentioned most likely some sort of relays to be to blame
So that's now what I'll be looking at next.. or I'll be saying to old'er mechanic to look at

I'll be forwarding my dry cleaning bill for you for my spoilt shit m8, no excuses!

AlvyLad wrote:Looks like Ferrari F40 MK2
Does that mean I can say "I've been told my van is just as good as a Ferrari"?
Wouldn't go that far

hi does anyone have a wiring diagram please
the links dont seem to work
thanks in advance

"Funny" to have been requested by mechanic to get him one, as he's at the wits end with me and my van (blower fan issue).
Got to be just me surely?
Looks like Ferrari F40 MK2
So is the sensor the thing on top of the coolant bottle, right side ?
Yes, the one, that senses, if current isn't getting through two points of it right in the middle of the bottle- light comes on. Being extremely dirty ends up as a false reading as if not enough coolant the same.
Just FYI (and to request, if I may) the code is wrong and those "errors" registering, saying wrong code 3, even disconnected (and reconnected) the power after 2'nd try.

Thank you very much Gents!
Posted new topic about radio fiddling things https://dispatchexpertscudo.org.uk/foru … 089#p12089
As it comes to the blower or more precisely now lack of power supply, kinda "catch -up" where am I right now with it.
Resistor switch assembly of evilBay didn't work, having rigged up everything to it... shame, as it seemed as very good solution to very many of blower fan issues having vans.
The blower Fans (with Resistors) x2 of off an evilbay didn't fit at all, both returned (at my expense), the correct part 6441E3, has been located at EuroCarParts talking to a sales person in person, as online or on the phone they aren't very good
Power, does get to it sporadically, twice in the last week, not coming on 5 days of that week. What multimeter testing revealed (by at least by two mechanics that tested) is that once I've no power supply in the wires to the fan- it really is uncertain what or where to look for the fault. Indeed revving up might have helped for it to come back alive, could be some sort of control relays are faulty, could be some sort of contacts for the relays or else, that works intermittently meaning, it would need to be tested when it works to see where the "chain" breaks when it doesn't, but I'm not going to the mechanic to say- oh look, it works- check it where!
Thanks again guys, I'll keep you posted on this subject in all

Simply enter last 4 digits from the stereo barcode and it will calculate the unlock code!
The barcode can be found on stereo body and is on a format C7000000XXXX
clarion.exe can be downloaded from here.
It had come up as 6154 for this junk of an radio, although untested yet, but sounds different to what I had (and lost) got from a Citroen dealer in Godalming 5/6 years ago... who's shut now BTW...
I'll post back what's what later on gents!
Code has been lost recently (again) and forum members helped out on a different thread, certainly worth reposting (I thinks)
kenbw2 wrote:Have you taken a multimeter to the various wires? Maybe that'll tell you where in the chain the problem is?
Yesterday talked to the dealer (was looking for a radio code and asked casually what he knows of then- the usual "would need to book in" $$$, he mentioned something about a supply wiring and relays... ?
ANW didn't get the code, as they "need" V5, didn't want to be further ripped off for diagnostic work,
Is it a standard Clarion radio?
If so there is a code calculator tool which produces the code from the serial number. Works with serial numbers in the format:- C7000 0000xxxx. It used to be a widely available free download but have just checked and can now only find people offering to do it for a price.
I posted a link to the download ages ago but just checked and it's no longer working.
It may still be available in the darker reaches of the net?
The radio (the thing don't have no Bluetooth in, no MP3 Input, wouldn't even play "PC burned CD's"
What it does have is "security" Locator pin and Steering wheel controls, that since fitting new (old) radio doesn't work.
Reasonable to mention here, I've got "Parrot Bluetooth CK3100 Loudspeaker system" circa 2010~ish?
So the guys helped out already,

here's better resolution of SN, as I don't believe such radio would be of interest to be stolen on PIN number would be of any security issue
Hi guya . My coolant light has just started popping on and off, more on though, but my coolant level is spot on. What should i check next.....
Ive been googling lol. Is there a sensor i can check or replace
Keep it simple for a guy with no skills
Cheers
Mine was the same and I'm the same as it comes to electrics/mechanics, have "fixed it" after I had some oil in coolant (long story).
Get the expansion vessel (bottle) off I think pliers, flat medium screwdriver and 10mm wrench was needed, (obviously you'll need to disconnect the sensor) make sure you've got absolutely identical sensor and do try to get it out without damaging bottle... mine wouldn't come out, or seized, that I wouldn't want to start getting hammer, drill out etc
Got plastic airsoft shots ("bearings") handful, Fairy, luke warm water, taped up few outlets and kept on shaking until it was absolutely like new on the inside. For the testing purpose, fitted everything back and it was fine, although if parked to the side, light does come up, as it should, binned the sensor since.
Have you taken a multimeter to the various wires? Maybe that'll tell you where in the chain the problem is?
Mechanic did and couldn't find no power...
(It started to work straight after him giving up (and me) we left it at a "getting new (SH) control panel.
Yesterday talked to the dealer (was looking for a radio code and asked casually what he knows of then- the usual "would need to book in" $$$, he mentioned something about a supply wiring and relays... ?
ANW didn't get the code, as they "need" V5, didn't want to be further ripped off for diagnostic work, called the mechanic to get myself booked in for the Monday, we'll see what's now, but getting and "alternative" power feed seems like reasonable option with couple of relays and switches, just like the thingy of evil'bay, but perhaps better build quality, more durable. Those control panels is an absolute lottery if to get them SH, yet dealer didn't even mention those to be suspects...
Dunno
?
AlvyLad wrote:Just to say it is fixed...'ish
even with a new fan, mechanic couldn't get no power supply on- seemed terminal, just put the most bits back together and driving off (lost radio code) suddenly I've heard humming- (new) fan worked!... only the next morning to try to demystify windows- not again.
Strange you should say that.
I did mine a few years back and still have occasional times when it doesn't start up. It can always be persuaded by simply wiggleing the sleeved bunch of wires leading to the blower. I have checked all the connections and they are tight and bright. Only needs the slightest touch on the loom though and will work for days/weeks till it happens again.
Not got around to investigating further or fixing as I soon get very dizzy when laying backwards in the footwell.
Just to keep ideas flowing...?
Stopped working again, wriggling wires, sliders etc- didn't help and steaming up windows is big deal in the mornings, but what is it that remains wrong with it?
AFAIK all (or most) of the relays are on the fuse box/"mounting plate" ('s), which is what?- perhaps somebody will come up with better expertise to help you out in the right direction
AlvyLad wrote:dare you to to comment on my workmanship- solution ;P
Perfect chart!
Sorted ???
Looking a bit like mine. ???
Nothing wrong with it!- works!
Did buy 2 off to replace cracked one... never managed to get it off, so fixed it!

dare you to to comment on my workmanship- solution ;P
