#101 Re: Camper Conversions » Front seats » 2019-08-13 22:55:30

I'm currently looking into swapping my drivers seat and double passenger for leather seats, which will either be from a 207 or 307. Prices aren't to bad and I've managed to get hold of the single seat subframe for a very reasonable sum.

Will update once I've done the swap and hopefully some pictures too.

If I remember rightly my old 53 plate expert had the same issue, and I ended up changing the stalk. Not a big job and not too expensive either.

Hi Tiree,
Do you still have any stickers left? If so I'd like 1 please.

Hi All,

I don't suppose anybody knows a good place to get the PP2000 kit from?

Got a few things I want to do using the PP2000 software.

Thanks in advance

Mike

Hi Simonson82,

I have changed the gear box on my 2009 expert 1.6HDi, and can advise that it has to be removed from underneath. Be warned it's a tight fit getting it out and in, just be careful of the power steering pipe running down the passenger side sub frame.

#110 Re: General Discussion » gear selector cable on 6 speed box » 2017-11-04 21:24:28

Hello folksy,

I recently changed the gear cables on my 2008 1.6 hid, a bit of a nightmare but basically, make sure they're connected the right way around. So that the right cable is on the right side because the lengths are slightly different.

The problem I had was that once replaced it was difficult to select 1st and 2nd gears all others perfect, but the lever didn't rest in the centre position. I ended up changing the gear selector in the cab to.

Did you buy 1 off eBay or genuine one? I had an eBay 1 1st as half the price but it was even worse than the original cables and the poem one. Although to be fair I'd changed the gear box too.

The other thing to make sure is that the cables aren't crossed over either in the cab or engine bay, so that they run straight.

I might have a couple of pictures from when I did mine, so will have a look and post if I gave.

Good luck in the mean time.

Hi Vaz, cheers. The mock up really doesn't do either of them justice, I find mock-ups rarely do! I do like the 5 spoke but don't like to see to much of the brakes!!

As for cleaning I with you! I've given them a coat of autoglym wheel protector, as it helps with cleaning the brake dust off, so hopefully a clean with the jetwash and sponge should keep them looking good. Must admit they do sparkle quite nicely in the sun, when we have some  big_smile

Today's job - fit the new wing mirror covers. These were brought via ebay see the link below:

MK2 Wing Mirror Cover

Wing Mirror Cover

Unfortunately these are designed to be clipped into place, but as my van didn't come with these from the factory they required a slight modification. Out came the dremel to remove the tabs on the rear of the wing mirror covers and now a perfect fit. So, they come ready primed which meant I only needed to give it a few coats of Peugeot Bianca white from good old Halfords and then some clear lacquer. As the clips are gone I've used some good adhesive to attach them to the wing mirrors. I think they look pretty good.

Well the time has come to choose the alloy wheels  big_smile  the question is which shall I go for? I've 2 in mind, both shown on the picture below. I welcome any comments on which suits better as I can't decide, might have to flip a coin  lol

Glad it was a quick and simple fix ?

Passenger footwell from memory, you'll have to remove the glove box to give you better access and see it better.

Possibly the heater resistor faulty??

#121 Re: General Discussion » 2007 1.6HDI immobilser fault. » 2017-09-17 18:08:19

Hi Bill, welcome to the forum ?

I have an 2008 1.6hdi myself, fortunately however not had any immobiliser yet. Do you have access to a diagnostics machine?

I have autodata 3.45 and have had a look for common know issues concerning the immobiliser but none are listed. Think plugging it in to a diagnostic machine would be a good point to star. Sorry I can't offer anything more concrete to go on.

#122 Re: Maintenance » Scudo central locking controls » 2017-09-10 22:16:05

On my 53 plate expert I wanted an additional key fob, but the locksmith I use tried to link a new universal fob to the vans central locking but with no joy. Luckily for me he was able to repair the original remote fob.

I think they did a 2l petrol version on the continent, not sure what you could squeeze in the engine bay to give you 140 though. Something along the lines of a 2l turbo?
