Hi everyone. I'm new to this site so please be gentle with me!!
I have a rotten 2002 scudo 2.0 jtd with a good engine and a good 1.9d with a rotten engine! Can I swap the good 2L into the good 1.9d chassis? Any help greatly appreciated ???

Or are the gearboxes the same so I can use the good clutch? Cheers

Only just got a van myself, but from my knowledge of 306s using the same engines it will physically fit no problem, I would guess the gearboxes are interchangable but would need the fork mechanism swapping. On the 306s one was a push type clutch and one was a pull type. As for the engine, wiring would be the headache there is a whole lot more of it required for the 2.0.
I think its possible but long winded. Someone with more experience should be able to give a more concrete answer though.

I'm going to say what (Alvin) he said.......... Use both engine and box from HDI as I think the gearing might be slightly better having more power than 1.9D plus there may be a few pick ups on it that you'll need..... you'll most likely have to use fuel tank unless lift pump is intechangable or exterior........... and yes Alvin is correct the engine and g/box going in is the easy bit ..... you'll need engine loom .... ECU and probably a mountain of other bit off HDI ....but at least you have both vans to compare whats what and have/get a good workshop manual......... It will be do-able ............ (Number of years ago I put a 2ltr in a Nova (Corsa).... But I only needed 3 wires to make it run and NO Fly-By Wire and a lot of mix N match)

This guy put the earlier 1.9 XUD9 into a Synergie (same thing, lower roof) that came with the 2.0 HDi. He had to bodge a new engine mount but that looked like it.
