B:assembly with 1 cooling fan.
+BAT=battery +.
+ACC=+ accessories.
(1) double injection relay.
(2) dashboard instrument cluster (gauge and warning lamp in the instrument panel).
(3) relay 1.
(4) cooling fan 1.
(5) relay 2.
(6) relay 3.
(7) cooling fan 2.
(8) engine coolant temperature sensor.
(9) injection ECU.
(10) air conditioning compressor control.
(11) air conditioning activated information.
(12) resistor.
The engine coolant temperature sensor informs the ECU about the engine coolant temperature.
The sensor consists of a Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) resistor.
The more the temperature increases, the more its resistance value is reduced.
The water temperature sensor is fitted to the coolant unit.
This information is provided by the air conditioning ECU when the air conditioning is activated.
The cooling fan(s) is(are) operated at low speed when the air conditioning activated information is received by the injection ECU.
Slow speed is obtained by supplying the cooling fan via a resistor arranged in series in the supply circuit.
Fast speed is obtained by supplying the cooling fan directly.
The change from slow to fast speed takes place immediately.
Before changing to fast speed, the cooling fan(s) is(are) run for 3 seconds at slow speed.
Slow speed is obtained by supplying the cooling fans in series.
Fast speed is obtained by supplying the cooling fans in parallel.
The change from slow to fast speed takes place immediately.
Before changing to fast speed, the cooling fan(s) is(are) run for 3 seconds at slow speed.
When the engine stops, the ECU will operate the post-cooling if the coolant temperature exceeds a certain threshold (*).
Post-cooling occurs at slow speed and lasts for a maximum of 6 minutes after the engine has stopped.
(*) according to vehicle.
