Hi,
My 2.0HDI Peugeot expert oddmeter is back lite by a lamp, and if the lamp is not working you can’t read it…
You need to remove the clocks to access it for replacement.

Hi ya Casper,

Just a quick update on my posting on a wobble thought to be rear suspension etc…?
roll
I found that a rear tyre had gone out of shape…!, so my trusty old van is now driving about like a new un…

Many thanks for your helpful advice…, which is what lead me to check the basics first..

Great ideas and points made….

Had left it all to the mechanic, but may have to crawl underneath myself…:)

The main oddity seems to be the rim won’t go on the front axle and it’s the original bolts…?

Hi Casper,

Thanks for the reply…

Recently had both front wishbones changed and the van drives about better apart from this wobble up to 30mph.

My mechanic has done similar to what you suggest and found that at least one rim wouldn’t go on the front axle as the wheel bolts fould up and not allowing the wheel to turn.
At the same time Tyres were swapped and new fitted due to being worn out.
He believes that it’s the rear wheels causing the wobble but it does feel like it’s at the front…
He thinks the rim has been distorted by over use of a air gun to over tighten the bolts.
Balancing has been done, discs checked etc and this seems like the next logical step to put my new tyres on another rim or two.
Hence I was gonna get a pair

Hello everyone,
I’m looking for some steel wheels for a expert 2.0 HDI with 15 inch rims.
Two would be perfect and in reasonable condition…, as I’m trying to eliminate a slow speed wobble and believe it to be a distorted wheel.
I’m located in Leicestershire and can collect if not to far away…

Have a look in the back of the garage and behind the shed….:)

I have 4 alloy wheels for sale that are direct fitments for the 15” steel wheels found on the expert van up to 2006, and will fit the other derivatives of this van.

The wheels came off a 2005 peugeot 806 people carrier which has a higher gross vehicle weight than the 2.0 van and are theirfore OEM fitments.

The wheel sizes are 6.5jx15 ET31 with PCD5x98, and centre bore is 58.1mm, and use the standard M14 x 1.5lugs as per the steel wheels, and do not require longer wheel lugs as is often suggested.

They are the original silvery gold colour and have 4 tyres fitted, (but these all will need replacing).

The wheels all have their peugeot centre caps and are in relativly good condition for their age and dont have any major signs of curbing or grazing.
I live in Leicestershire, and would be happy to supply photo’s and i would like £100 for the 4.

You can contact me on 07866 761937.

Hi Guys, just registered with the site but have followed the discussions before about the old shape 2.0HDI expert and found the information available very good.

Ive also looked into the wheel and tyre issue and found that the OEM alloy wheels off the 806 people carrier of that time are not only the same size, but are also rated at a higher rated gross vehicle weight than the van making them a perfect upgrade.

I have a set of 4 of these wheels that i would like to sell if you know anyone that would be interested...?
