Very good, look forward to seeing the pics when they're fitted. I'm on the hunt for 2 front seats, not easy. They all seem to be gone or are too shot for using. Its on my list which is getting longer by the week
I was there last Wednesday. They're were getting ready to close when i arrived. Apparently theyre closed till the 22nd. I picked up a cracking headliner for £30. The guys there were so much friendlier, better vans to choose from and cheaper too. Ordered carpet, foam, adhesive and LED lighting. Its gonna be a busy weekend next week! What you after exactly?
Here's the website with the number
Its the same one as Camps. It's listed as Kirknewton on Google for some reason. Shame it was closed though. Went to SCB and pilfered a shed load of clips. There's nothing there at the moment. Bit of a let down given how good its been.
Awesome! I'm heading off to the scrappy at Kirknewton, like yourself i thought SCB was poor the last time i visited so maybe have a bit more luck this time around. Thanks for your help!
Meant to ask, whats the best way of fixing the cladding to the metalwork?
Brilliant, thanks for that. I spoke to someone last week who told me about the yard at Elphinston where AC cabs have around 50 or so E7's lying around. Apparently the owner doesnt like to sell parts to the public as hes keeping them for parts for his fleet. My mate is friendly with him and is going to put in a good word. Fingers crossed!
Thanks Casper, yeah i saw that on ebay earlier yesterday, definitely taking the piss. I'm liking your idea with the pine cladding. I'm gonna try the scrappy at Camps and SCB and if theres nothing then i'll consider your idea. Your tin tent looks great btw!
Thanks Casper! You've found the ones I need but you're right, way too pricey. In fact that's bloody scandalous. Scrappy it is. Btw, I'm looking for an e7 headliner or failing that, ideas on how to fabricate one. I'm currently insulating the van so the roof is next on my list. Loving the satisfaction of doing it myself but im at a loss and I don't know where to start. The roof is quite an awkward shape so I might be better waiting till one pops up. Any ideas are welcome though ?
Mmmh, was hoping it would be a bit simpler and you cold buy them online. Hey ho, the scrappy it is

Hi, can anyone point me where to find the plastic clip that fits into the oblong hole so you can screw a self tapper into it? I've got a couple of euro 7 interior arch panels that need fixing to the metal panels. I've looked everywhere but can't find them anywhere. Are the dealers the best place for this? Thanks for any replies.
Hi guys, I went to SCB last week and there was nothing but 2 vans with not much left to remove. I was a bit hacked off as a few weeks previous there were loads.
Whilst tidying up a superficial bit of surface rust around the lower nearside wheel arch I unearthed more than I bargained for. I've now got a 8 inch square hole under the floor where the inner arch meets the floor. It's easy enough to access to repair but was wondering if anyone else had the same issue? I tried to upload a pic with no success. It's not a pretty sight ?
I had the same issue with blocked drain pipes on another vehicle. Pour a kettle of steaming hot water just above the bonnet line and the gunge should work its way out. Be careful though!
The e7 was red, there wasnt much left internally and im now on the hunt for some headlining. Liking your blog. Food for thought. I didn't go up the hill but plan to go back at the earliest opportunity before the cold weather sets in. Don't suppose you have a link for the smoked glass windows? Can't see anything online.
I managed to get to SCB on Saturday. Spent a good couple of hours raking the 4 vans that were there. 1 was an old E7 taxi so got some rear wheel arch mouldings amongst a load of bits and bobs. Unfortunately there were no sliding doors with windows so i'll need to try elsewhere. If or can i put glass on the side rear panels? I'm going to look at Synergie seats soon so hopefully they'l be in too!
Thanks for this Casper. I'l try and make time to visit SCB this weekend. I'l let you know whats there if i make it
Hi Casper, sorry for the late reply, been busy working. Unfortunately the roof rack is gone. I ended up putting it on gumtree and it got snapped up the next day. I appreciate the info re scrappys, i'm familiar with the ones you mentioned and i'm not too far from Newbridge. I've always fancied going out for a nosey but seem to be getting dragged into doing family stuff
. I'm liking your take on the livingston taxi thing though. Never thought about them all ending up in the West Lothian yards. Nice price for the 2 doors btw. Result!
I didn't realise that 807 seats fitted. Interesting...
Hi there, I'm in Edinburgh. Sorry should have made that clear on original post. It's not the full length rack.
I am a bit bias, well alot bias toward the 806/synergie seats as they save alot of hassle and can have thm in in a couple of hours ,
Water Gypsie was your T4 the 2.4 ? the 1.9 scudo has only 5 hp less !! I had a t3 with a tdi lump in it (so mutch rot though !) and went through 3 gearboxs ,, will never have another moneypits dont know the fasination either with VW vans with the engine up front swb T4,T5s are tiny inside
Totally agree Monkeynut but 806 seats are like hens teeth! I've looked at buying a non runner but even they are commanding silly prices. Thanks everyone for the replies. Food for thought.
Hi, my dad is wanting rid of his car. Its a low mileage Scenic and i was wondering if the front seats could be used in my Scudo? Anyone have any advice or know if its a possibility?
Converting van so no longer required.
Did you sort it out? Mine was leaking through the rear light. Remove the rubber grommet to let the water out.
