Hi all
When the double bed is made up in the van I plan to use the offside rear door for entry / egress.
However, there is no way to 're-lock' this door from the inside (a key would do it from the outside).
Before I pull the door panel off and investigate to see if I can put a cable in there, or something, does anyone have any thoughts? Do any of these vans come with a locking button/lever thingy on the inside of this door?
What mileage does it have saved in it?

There is a useful comment on that ebay page:
When installed it is IMPERATIVE to monitor the temperature of the resistor on first use. Sometimes a blown resistor can be a symptom of the problem and not the problem itself, and replacing it in this scenario will only cause it to blow again. If the resistor starts heating very quickly and getting too hot IMMEDIATELY SWITCH OFF YOUR CAR and diagnose the problem elsewhere. Resistors usually blow when they get too hot and this happens when too much current is being drawn from then. This can happen if there is an issue with the blower motor or even the ignition system, or a fault with the wiring. Also please check your fan is not jamming because of dirt or grease build up, or a failure in the bearings. This will also cause the fan to try to draw more power in an attempt to spin, causing the resistor to overheat and fail.
If replacing the resistor (and it is not getting hot) your heater still does not work, please check the thermo fuse or carry out further diagnosis elsewhere for a fault.
I've got the van now - I had a good look through the connections and couldn't sort it. In the end I pulled the cluster face off the circuit board and bent one of the two contact pins away from the clock (after setting it to midnight).
I now use the 'space' in front of the clock for my phone holder (suckered on to the plastic directly in front of the clear screen)
The nut and bolt are Citroen Part Numbers

The rear floor plan is to be decided and of course I am limited in options in order to allow bike transport.
I'm busy turning my WAV into a day camper at the moment - I'm keeping the centre channel as free as possible but also ensuring the furniture can be easily removed so that I can go back to 'full van'. I reckon the cost for the timber, etc for all the furniture is about £50

Is there any kind of 'economical' heating for a van interior, apart from electric/mains?
I reckon that using a propane/butane gas system would probably be prohibitive both on Carbon Monoxide issues and also the fire risk if left on during sleeping
Needed to collect some stuff from Newcastle yesterday so thought I'd make a little adventure out of it and booked a pitch at the Boe Rigg 'campsite' near Bellingham, Northumberland.
Lovely place, very unregimented (unlike some sites) and a great bar/restaurant on site with a decent pint (for under three quid).

My van has a drop-floor (ex-WAV) so the spare wheel usually floats around inside the van or inside the shed. I got a bit bored of moving it all the time...



I'm slowly converting the van in to a camper - it's reached stage one where it's a useful day van. I used 20/15mm pine and 5mm ply to construct some pullout box sections which are lightweight (around 2kg each) and can be easily removed.












Nice work! I am also trying to keep my furniture easily removable so I can use the vehicle as a van if necessary. I can't weld (well, not very well) so all my framing is being done with lap-joined pine battens reinforced with 5mm ply sides and pinned & glued. I'll put some photos on eventually!

The locks spinning probably means that they are not matched to that key, why don't you replace them with those from your breaking van?

Thank you. One of the most striking changes was getting the bumper black. Was it originally grey or has it faded? NB, silicon wipes didn't touch it, what I used in the end was black, liquid shoe polish from poundland - the kind with the sponge applicator. Still got most of a bottle left!
I've used a bit of elbow grease, T-Cut, Wax and trim.
