I would strongly recommend any alternative to the cigar lighter plug. They must be about the most unreliable electrical connectors ever devised.
They can spring out when you turn your back or with the slightest knock or bump. They are not very reliable at all, not good to find your ice melted, your food ruined, and worst of all, your beer warm.
Even if the device you are connecting has a lighter plug, I would replace it, especially for something like an ice box.. There are all sorts of 12v plugs and sockets available. A simple two pin one or jack plug type will be much more secure. If you don't need to remove it to carry to the beach or anything, even better would be to hard wire into a 12v switch.
First you need your live feed though. There are quite a few threads discussing various options. The one using an unused fuse might be best for you. It means you don't need to get through the firewall.
Speaking to someone tonight who knows you.
It's a small world!
Those Led's fitted are bright and you can see them shine on ground at night if you look careful enough in N/S door mirror
But that would defeat my efforts to accumulate years of grime on mine.
I am with you on not standing about in the PO.
Ours stinks!
It's shares a single room with a Subway and only a rope barrier between. It offers no protection at all.
I don't know what they put in those rolls, but it doesn't smell like food.
?
Great result.
If only it was always so easy.
Unknown to me when in south Wales mine had reset itself and default is shortest.
That's exactly how I use mine.
I can spend a week or more traveling a hundred miles so long as there are good spots along the way. No rush when you are retired.
If I do have to go south of the M62 though, I would set it to shortest.
Oat - I'm sure you'd love Europe now all the war damage has been sorted.
The wall has even come down, and Eastern/Central European countries are so interesting. And cheap! It's a different world, like going back to UK in 60s/70s.
Didn't bother with Western Europe much really, I found it much like the UK but with garlic and sunshine.
I just worked my way through to get to North Africa. Got caught up in the "Green March" into Spanish Sahara, (the largest mass protest outside of China), ended up marooned in the desert, and had to hitch and jump trains all the way back from Ceuta to Paris before getting arrested and expelled from France. Not sure they would want me back again, in fact I think I still owe them money.
You are right though, things have changed. Spain was still governed by an openly Fascist dictator then, and access to the east is tempting. I just don't feel the need and haven't got the energy for all the traveling anymore. I can still find all I want anywhere north of the M62.
Hope you enjoy your trip though.
Shame i never seen this earlier as i just gave this away to a neighbour
Post of the year from Casper.
PMS

I went abroad in 1973.
Wasn't impressed.
Not been back!

No noticeable ques in north or west Yorkshire today.
But diesel up to £1.42!
Why are so many people on this forum from Scotland!
Refugees from a country slowly tearing itself apart!
Also suggested 320Nm here:-
Oct 10, 2013 - "The Haynes manual calls for 320 Nm"
https://www.peugeotforums.com/threads/f … lue.53490/
Sounds good, it shouldn't fall off anyway.
Which raises the question of what model the Haynes manual was for. I didn't think there was one for early models?
Yup Tesco's 5 litre for a fiver has kept me going too.
Yes please Ken... a step by step guide with pics would be very useful.
Have you considered getting a quote of DD. It looks a horrendous job.
I thought this was for the 6 at first. Seems steep for 2 though.
Sort of thing that used to fall into your pocket at the scrap yard.
If you are desperate :-
edit... snap em up. Just seen them at £3.98 each!
Perhaps we are are all "Jocks" these days.
Made mine same as Casper.
Had a right job getting the gaffer tape to stick to the felt like lining material I used though. I ended up ironing the tape with an iron hot enough to near melt the tape but not quite. Worked very well. Have used them constantly over 5 years and still good.
Tempted by those ebay ones though if they use something more insulating than the thin silver bubble stuff I used.
edit...
Or I could just ad another layer of silvered bubble wrap as Casper suggests.
When I made them I didn't expect them to last long. I thought the bubbles would quickly burst. Surprisingly, despite folding and stuffing away into storage, they haven't.
It's has been getting worse since beginning of the pandemic.
Especially for the vastly overpriced Camping Gaz which is distributed by Calor. Apparently if they have a full load of their own gas, they don't take the Camping Gaz. I use a 907 2.72kg content about every 6 weeks.
Every time one empties I try every stockist I pass for an exchange but it is getting impossible to find.
I have resorted to buying from "unofficial" reffillers on ebay. Usually cheaper and I have had a couple free delivery, no exchange required.
Not so now though. Best I can find is:-

Still cheap but a 40 mile drive for me.
It was just a cheap obd reader i used, do you think ill get a better reading if i take it to a garage?
Probably/hopefully.
I have never owned an OBD vehicle myself, but if I had to pay a garage for a high tech diagnosis, I would expect it to be accurate.
---
Is there actualy any tangible benefit to having OBD equipped vehicles? The supposed instant fault finding should save considerably on labour charges. Old fashioned, hands on fault finding could often take longer than the repair.
The feedback I hear from others about OBD is most often about being charged extortionately to have a mysterious LED turned off.
That does appear to relate to an auto.
Are you sure you have the correct software?
Imagine how surprised I was Ken!
Good to meet you both too Casper. Hope the dog's ok.
So sorry to hear this after so much work. It's my own nightmare.
Be great for anyone with a rot one, Or perhaps you can find a rotten one with a good motor?
I think in the areas Ricko mentions It's to do with signal rather that reception.
There's nothing worse than getting half way through a good play and loosing reception. I have been known to backtrack and park up.
I avoid it now by using internet radio on my phone through a front input on my radio. There seem to be far more gaps in radio coverage than there are for phone signals.
Not sure what part you need but...
Can it be easily taken off and the vehicle be reassembled to still be a roller?
